The Metropol Hotel makes travel to Moscow even more comfortable and safe
The procedure for issuing the bank cards is simple. Upon receipt of a reservation from an international guest, a hotel employee will contact the guest to discuss the possibility of issuing them with a free bank card to make payments using the Russian national payment system. If the guest wishes a card to be issued in advance, the card will be waiting for them at the front desk upon their arrival at the hotel. Cards can also be issued when checking in, in which case the procedure is the same — the traveler just needs to fill out a short agreement form and activate the card.
The guest will be able to deposit funds into the account before traveling or after receiving the card at the hotel. A standard bank transfer from the guest’s bank account in their home country will be required to top up the card.
The bank card allows guests to make payments throughout Russia in restaurants and cafes, stores, shopping malls, beauty salons, museums, theaters and cinemas, in online stores, taxi ordering services and other online services.
Using the bank card is absolutely safe — offline payments are confirmed only after entering the pin code, and online payments are made in compliance with all authentication requirements. The card is not a credit card and does not require an issuance or maintenance fee.
