At the First Russian Award Where To Travel, held on December 5 in the city of Saint Petersburg, the hotel 'Metropol' received an award in the category 'Hotel with the best breakfast.'
The 'Where to Travel' award, held on December 5th within the walls of the Russian Ethnographic Museum in St. Petersburg, is part of the 'Where To' ecosystem. During the festive evening celebrating the First Award, the names of the best hotels in the country were announced, as well as winners in special categories. In addition, special awards were given to the most hospitable and comfortable hotels in separate regions of Russia - St. Petersburg and the North-West, Moscow and Central Russia, the South and the North Caucasus, the Urals and the Volga region, Siberia and the Far East.
In the overall rating of the top 100 Russian hotels, Metropol took an honorable 12th place and became a winner in the special nomination - 'Hotel with the best breakfast'.
With a greeting to the organizers and guests of the Award, Marina Skokova, General Manager of the Metropol Hotel, addressed:
Let me thank everyone who is present here today in this hall. It is especially pleasant to receive an award in the category "Hotel with the best breakfast," because for many years, the quality of breakfast has remained one of the key criteria for travelers when choosing a hotel. We approach everything that makes the breakfast at the Metropol Hotel unique with special care - starting from the magnificent main hall, its atmosphere, music and service, and ending with each dish presented on the buffet line or in the a la carte menu. And maybe it may seem modest of me, but the breakfast at the Metropol Hotel can be boldly called a special gastronomic experience that not only hotel guests but also every interested guest can enjoy.
Also want to express words of gratitude to the Organizers and personally Irina Tiusionina for creating the Award. Less than a year ago, at one of the meetings we only learned about the plans for its establishment, and already today we are on the stage and together are participants of this bright event in the industry.
It should be noted that breakfast at the Metropol Hotel continues to develop and improve: in addition to the wide variety of dishes presented on the buffet lines, desserts and signature bread were added. Through painstaking work, studying recipe books and numerous tastings, the dessert menu and recipes for signature bread at the hotel have been completely renewed.
